How courseguidance.in/ Makes Money
courseguidance.in/ is a free resource for Indian learners. We generate revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on our site and enroll in a course, we may earn a commission from the platform at no additional cost to you.
Our Affiliate Partnerships
We currently have affiliate relationships with the following platforms:
Coursera: 15-45% commission per sale. Udemy: 10-15% commission. Simplilearn: ₹1,000-₹5,000 per enrollment. UpGrad: ₹2,000-₹10,000 per enrollment. Great Learning: ₹1,000-₹3,000 per enrollment. Internshala: Commission per enrollment. edX: 10-15% per sale.
Platforms we earn nothing from: NPTEL/Swayam (government platform, no affiliate program), YouTube (no affiliate commissions on free content), Google Skillshop (free, no affiliate), HubSpot Academy (free, no affiliate), Kaggle (free), freeCodeCamp (free).
How This Affects Our Reviews
It doesn’t. We maintain strict editorial independence from our commercial relationships. Our evidence:
NPTEL, which generates zero revenue for us, scores highest (A+) in our Transparency Report and is recommended first in nearly every skill review. UpGrad, which generates our highest per-enrollment commission, scores lowest (C-) in our Transparency Report. We recommend free courses and YouTube channels before paid alternatives in every review, despite earning nothing from these recommendations.
If we ever felt that affiliate revenue was compromising our editorial integrity, we would disclose the specific conflict publicly. This has not happened.
Your Cost Is the Same
Using our affiliate links does not increase the price you pay. The course costs exactly the same whether you click through our site or go directly to the platform. Affiliate commissions are paid by the platform, not by you.
How to Support CourseGuidance
If our reviews and research have been helpful, the best way to support us is to use our links when enrolling in courses you’ve decided to take. This helps fund our independent research and keeps the site free for everyone. If you prefer to go directly to the platform, that’s completely fine too. Our content is free regardless.
